NIA re-registers case

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) Branch Office Imphal has re-registered a case for investigation in connection with the an incident at the CRPF camp located at Gelmol village and Okshongbung Khunou around noon of April 7 .
The case was re-registered on May 5 in compliance with an order from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.
The Chief Investigating Officer filed an application before the Special Court NIA-II, Manipur seeking cognizance of the FIR and direction to the concerned jurisdictional Court to transfer all judicial dockets/case record to the present Court and to issue direction to the IO of the Moirang Police Station to hand over all case related documents, dairies and seized material to the Chief Investigation Officer of the NIA .
On May 6, Special Court NIA-II, Manipur registered a Cril Misc case of the file application and heard the submission of the Special PP NIA and also perused the application of the NIA.
After hearing the submission of the Special PP, the NIA Court observed that the present case has been investigated by the NIA and requested the Special Judge NIA Bishnupur to transfer all judicial dockets/case records to the present Court.
Further, the Court also directed the Investigating Officer of the FIR No 25(4) 2026 of Moirang Police Station to hand over related documents, case dairies and seized materials to the Chief Investigating Officer of NIA Branch Office Imphal.
