IVDC felicitates outstanding students of eight villages

Moirang, September 07 2025: The Inter Village Development Committee (IVDC), the apex body of the eight villages - Ngakchroupokpi, Ngaikhong Khullen, Ngaikhong Siphai, Toubul, Khoijuman, Kwasiphai, Nachou, and Kha Potshangbam, organised a grand felicitation programme to honour outstanding students and teachers of the area.

Held at the Ibudhou Yangoiningthou Community Hall, the event saw the distribution of bicycles to 46 meritorious students who excelled in the Class X and XII examinations conducted by the BOSEM, COHSEM, and CBSE .

The programme was graced by IVDC president, Thoudam Joykumar; ZP Nachou Administration Committee Laishram Menjor; former Adhyaksha Thokchom Ithoibi; former Upadhyaksha Takhellambam Nungshi; chairperson Ngaikhong GP Moirangthem Bala; ZP Ngaikhong Khullen Kh Sanamatum and other prominent figures of the villages as presidium members.

As part of the event, 96 retired teachers from the 8 villages were also honoured with traditional shawls in recognition of their service.

In addition, L Malemnganba, a gold medallist in the national level Kickboxing championship, along with meritorious students who secured high marks in Class XII Science and Arts, were honoured with the Late Angom Bajami Devi award.

The felicitation extended beyond the villages, as 12 journalists and members of the All Bishnupur District Journalist Union were presented with track suits by PRDA secretary L Suranjoy, acknowledging their contributions.
