Water level at major rivers recedes

With little to no rainfall today, water in all major rivers has receded below Flood Level bringing relief to people.
Water level of major rivers
Imphal River: The water at Minuthong gauge site was flowing below the Flood Level (FL) at 5 pm, according to data provided by the Water Resources Department.
The Imphal River's Flood Level Minuthong is 786.900 metres and the water was flowing at 784.150 metres.
The river's Flood level at Lilong gauge site is 781.350 metres and the water was flowing at 780 metres at 5 pm .
Iril River: The river's Flood Level at Irilbung bridge gauge site is 787.700 metres and the water was flowing at 783.850 metres at 5 pm.
Nambul River: The Flood Level at Hump bridge gauge site is 782.175 metres and the water was flowing at 781.650 metres at 5 pm.
Nambol River: The river's Flood Level at Nambol bridge gauge site is 773.700 metres and the water was flowing at 773.375 metres at 5 pm.
Thoubal River: The river's Flood Level at Thoubal bridge is 779.915 metres and the water was flowing at 775.525 metres at 5 pm.
Manipur River: The river's Flood Level at Ithai Barrage is 769.300 metres and the water was flowing at 769.220 metres at 5 pm.
Ithai Barrage's gate II and III have been opened by 3.20 m and 5 m respectively and others are closed.
Imphal Barrage's gate II, III, IV and V are fully opened, and Shamushang Regulator is fully closed.
Thoubal Barrage's gate no I is opened by .20 metres and others are closed, said the Water Resources Department, in a statement issued to the media.
