Imphal, May 05 2022: Janata Dal (United), National president, Rajiv Ranjan Singh and MP of Lok Sabha has dissolved Manipur Janata Dal (United) State Committee with immediate effect.

The above action has been initiated to pave way for the re-organisation of the State Unit, said a press statement by General Secretary of JD (U), Afaque Ahmad Khan.

Subsequently, the National President has appointed Ksh Biren Singh, former minister as the convenor of the Manipur Unit of JD (U) with immediate effect and he has been requested to co-ordinate with the leaders of the JD (U) Legislative Party and all the other legislators as well as the National leaders of the party so as to strengthen the process for the re-organisation of a vibrant State Unit of JD (U) in Manipur, added the statement.
