The Mao community and victims of the Kohima Mao Market fire incident which took place in the late evening of February 27, 2023, have expressed their gratitude and appreciation to Chief Minister of Manipur, N Biren Singh, for reaching out with relief support across the border to the affected people.
It may be recalled that the devastating fire destroyed the 7 storied Mao Market Complex with 91 shops, the adjacent N M Complex with 66 shops, residential dwellings of 17 families and portions of T Khel Market.
