'Jan Aushadhi' store inaugurated in Khongjom

Thoubal, January 04 2025: With the aim to provide affordable, quality generic medicines to the public through Prandhan Mantri Bharatiya Jan Aushadhi Kendra, a "Jan Aushadhi" store was inaugurated today at Khongjom by Dr Pratita Charitable Trust.

The inaugural event was attended by Manipur Remote Sensing Application Centre, retd Director, Dr Nahakpa Randhir Singh, Dr Pratita Charitable Trust, Khongjom chairman, former Minister Moirangthem Hemanta Singh, ISTV Executive member, B Naobi Sharma and IB Govt of India, retd PRO Longjam Priyokumar Singh as presidium members.

After the inaugural of the store and handing over to the general public, Managing Director of Dr Pratita Charitable Trust, Dr Monica Moirangthem said that the Jan Aushadhi store was opened after a proposal was sent to the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers Department of Pharmaceuticals and was granted by the Government of India.

She continued that medicines will be available at subsidized rates and urged the people to avail the benefits of "Jan Aushadhi" .
