Imphal, August 03: Tangkhul Naga Long (TNL), Tangkhul Mayar Ngala Long, Tangkhul Naga Zingsho Longphang and Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong has supported the 48-hour bandh called by JAC on Road Construction from Hongbei to Lambui starting 6 pm of August 8 .

Maintaining that the road is the lifeline for survival for the people of the area, TNL asserted that even the work of earth cutting formation is remained incomplete which was started in the year 2003 under PMGSY.

Echoing the same view, Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong on the other hand expressed shock in the lack of transparency on the administration of Education (S) in the district as well.

The students' body asserted that the recent Government order of discontinuation of 171 aided schools was nothing but depriving the basic rights of education of hill people.
