Many pay condolences to Ema Sanathoi

Numerous organisations have condoled the demise of former president of All Assam Manipuri Meira Paibi Apunba Lup (AAMMPAL), Assam Ema Ingudam ongbi Sanathoi.
Sanathoi passed away yesterday.
Wife of Late I Mourochand Singha of Joypur Part-II Cachar, Ema Sanathoi was 77 .
The organisations which paid tribute and offered condolences are Apunba Manipur Kanba Ima Lup (AMKIL), All Manipur Women's Social Reformation & Development Samaj (Nupi Samaj), All Manipur Tammi Chingmi Apunba Nupi Lup (Tammi-Chingmi), Manipur Chanura Leishem Marup (MACHA LEIMA), Ereipak Enat Chanura Loinsilon (EECHAL), Nongpok Leingak Apunba Nupi Lup (NLANL), Nongchup Imphal Palem Ima Apunba Lup (NIMPAL), Thoubal District United Women's Organisation (Thoubal Ima), Apunba Nupi Lup (ANUL) Bishnupur, Extra Judicial Execution Victims Family Association Manipur (EEVFAM), Khwairamband Keithel Semgat Sagat Lup (KKSSL), Phouoibi Ima Keithel Women's Vendor Welfare Union (PIKWVWU), Paona Keithel Womens' Welfare Organisation (PKWWO), United People's Front (UPF) Manipur, National Identity Protection Council (NIPCO), Coalition Against Drugs & Alcohol (CADA), Manipur Peace & Integrity Council (MAPI Council), All Manipur Progressive Farmers' Association and one students' union.
These organizations, in a joint statement, acknowledged Ema Sanathoi's dedication to promote equality among the Manipuris in Assam.
The organizations also noted that the Meira Paibi leader was an active participant in the movement advocating for the inclusion of the Manipuri language in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution.
Ema Sanathoi also participated in the historic long march from Silchar to Imphal, themed "The Spirit of Freedom" .
The organizations remembered Ema Sanathoi as a dedicated participant in the Great June Uprising and Unity Day, bringing together delegates from Assam.
They noted that her contributions earned her recognition from the Manipur Sahitya Parishad, Assam.
Mourning her passing as a significant loss for the Manipuri community in Assam, the organizations extended condolences to her family and prayed for her eternal peace.
