Imphal, August 01 2025: The Manipur Government has launched the official e-Gazette portal (http://egazettemanipur.mn.gov.in) in a significant step towards promoting digital governance and enhancing public access to official information.

Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla officially inaugurated the e-Gazette portal and a Gazette notification was also e-published to mark the occasion, according to a press release issued by Thokchom Bedajit, Deputy Secretary, General Administration Department (GAD) .

With the launching of the e-Gazette system, the physical printing and sale of hard copies of the Gazette stands discontinued from today (August 1).As such, the Manipur Gazette will be published only in electronic form on the portal: http://egazettemanipur.mn.gov.in.

The Directorate of Printing and Stationery will maintain official records of all e-published notifications and make them available as and when required for reference.

The launch of the e-Gazette marks a shift towards paperless administration, improved accessibility of Government notifications, and enhanced efficiency in dissemination of official information, added the press release.

Notably the initiative is in pursuance of the provisions under Section 8 of the Information Technology Act, 2000 .
