MPP candidate alleges physical assault by CDOs, Conggress workers on their supporters

Voters of Nambol A/C who did not vote for the Congress candidate in the recently held 10th Manipur State Assembly Election, are tortured by police commandos and Congress workers, charged Thounaojam Chaoba, MPP candidate of Nambol A/C.Addressing media persons at the party's office near Pologround today, Th Chaoba said that apprehensive that Minister N Loken who is a Congress candidate in Nambol A/C will fail to come up this time, Oinam Premjit, brother-in-law of Minister N Loken, along with some Congress workers and an SI Owen of Nambol Police station resorted to torturing non-Congress workers.
Taking due advantage of the party being in power, the brother-in-law of Minister N Loken along with the SI detained and tortured non-Congress workers.
Fish farms and piggery farms of the close relatives of MPP candidate, Th Chaoba were destroyed and burnt down by the brother-in-law of Minister Loken along with his gang.
They also told the MPP workers to leave the locality and threatened them of severe punishment if they report the incident to the police, Th Chaoba further charged.
He also said that the Bolero of one Soram Jawanbi of Ishok, who voted for MPP, was detained by the gang of the brother-in-law of Minister Loken and SI Owen.
Later the vehicle was released after verification by the OC of Nambul.
One Vikramjit of Nambol Naorem was also detained by the same group on the alleged charge of having connection with CorCom.
He was also later released after verification.
