CMHT not to cover Pvt hospitals from Sep 30

From September 30 and the health insurance given under Chief Minister-gi Hakshelgi Tengbang (CMHT) will cover only Government hospitals as the Cabinet has adopted a resolution to delist private hospitals from the scheme.
The decision to delist private hospitals from the scheme was taken during a Cabinet meeting held at the Chief Minister's Secretariat today.
The meeting was chaired by Chief Minister N Biren Singh.
Addressing the media after the meeting at his residence at Lamphelpat, Government spokesperson cum Health and IPR Minister Dr Sapam Ranjan said that there won't be any change in the health insurance given under PMJAY although CMHT won't cover private hospitals from September 30 .
He said that the Cabinet discussed 20 listed agendas and some unlisted agendas.
About the listed agenda, Dr Ranjan said that the Cabinet has agreed to formulate an Ordinance to amend the Manipur Lokayukta Act, 2014 .
The Cabinet decided to increase the age limit of the Chairman and member of the Manipur Lokayukta from 70 to 72 with the recommendation of the Selection Committee, he said and added that creation of eight additional posts for Manipur Judicial Academy was also approved during the meeting.
Dr Ranjan further said that the daily wage of skilled employees will be hiked (from Rs 273 to Rs 480) and unskilled (from Rs 225 to Rs 400) of the Manipur High Court.
Saying that they have also decided to issue no objection certificate in affiliating SV Getwell School in Imphal East to CBSE, the Minister continued that the Cabinet also agreed to allot lands for establishment of DIET, Imphal West and to construct Sub-District Hospital and Primary Health Centre at Moreh.
Establishment of Manipur Ayurveda Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy (AYUSH) Council with prior assent of the State Government has also been approved by the Cabinet, Dr Ranjan said.
The Cabinet has agreed to recruit one Laboratory Technician and a Data Entry Operator of JNIMS's Sentinel Surveillance Sites under National One Health Programme for Prevention and Control of Zoonotic Diseases.
Saying that they have given consent to give one time relaxation for the promotion to the post of Secretariat Assistant from the eligible employee of Manipur Public Service Commission, Dr Ranjan maintained that the Cabinet has also approved the proposal to frame Manipur Teacher Education Service Rules 2024 .
The extension of contractual engagement of S Nabachandra Sharma, Co-ordinator under Art and Culture Department and also the extension of re-engagement of retired Principal Private Secretary/Private Secretary in General Administrative Department (GAD), Manipur Secretariat for a period of one year was also considered by the Cabinet, the Minister said.
Dr Ranjan went on to state that the Cabinet has agreed to amend the guidelines of Manipur Start-Up scheme and CM Farmers Livelihood Support scheme.
As per the Minister, the Cabinet has also reached a consensus on making the newly established Manipur Electric Regulatory Commission operational.
He said that the Cabinet has decided to entrust the management of Manipur Milk Producers' Co-operative Union to the National Dairy Development Board for a period of three years from October 1 .
Saying that the Cabinet has decided to let FIITJEE and Akash Education Service to start a Government sponsored coaching classes for NEET and JEE aspirants in Manipur, he added that 30 students each will be selected by holding a competitive test to join the coaching.
