Imphal, March 28:
Questioning the validity of the composition of the members of the Central Committee of the KCP which was constituted during the unification move initiated by PREPAK, KYKL and UNLF in November, 2006 somewhere outside India, three members of the outfit, Kh Lamphel Luwangcha, AK Kokkai Meitei and City Meitei have said that after due deliberations it has been decided that all the members of the Central Committee of the KCP should resign or else they should be ready to face the consequences.
A joint statement signed by the said three KCP members said that the present Central Committee is comprised of members named by its president Laba at his fancies and whims and questioned why Lamphel Luwangcha (gen secy in the then interim period), AK Kokkai (home secy in the then interim period) and City Meitei (member of the Central Committee) have not been included in the Committee formed during the November 2006 sitting.
The three further said that it is also imperative to study why the decisions adopted during the meeting could not be implemented while appointing the CC members.
Thus the members who have appointed wrongly, should resign or else they should face the consequences, warned the three.
Any CC member who fails to turn up for an emergency meeting will be treated as gang members, decreed the three.
The statement also warned Laba to stop harassing the family members of CC members by taking advantage of the factionalism within the outfit.
The three have also clarified that they were not involved in the killings of migrant workers and asserted they condemn it strongly.
