CJM and team inspect Chandel Court complex

A team led by Chief Justice of the High Court of Manipur, Justice Siddharth Mridul visited the Chandel Court Complex today and inspected the renovation works at the CJM Court and the proposed site for the new District & Sessions Court.
As per a press release issued by J Hillson Angam, Deputy Registrar (Judicial), High Court of Manipur, the Chief Justice was accompanied by Justice A Bimol Singh; Justice A Guneshwar Sharma, Justice Golmei Gaiphulshillu, Ojesh Mutum, Registrar General, High Court of Manipur, Athokpam Nungshitombi, Commissioner (Law), and other key registry officials.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by Masana E Panmei, Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) cum Civil Judge (Senior Division), Chandel; Mayanglambam Rajkumar, Deputy Commissioner, Chandel; Hemant Pandey, Superintendent of Police, Chandel; Fakhrul Islam Choudhury, Judicial Magistrate First Class (UMFC), Moreh, Chandel Bar Association led by its president RT Rebirthson Anal and AII Tribal Lawyers Association, Manipur led by its president RS Livingstone.
The inspection highlighted the urgent need for the establishment of the District Court, which will play a pivotal role in providing timely and effective justice to the community.
A key part of the visit was the interactive session conducted with various stakeholders, which facilitated fruitful discussions and led to several positive resolutions aimed at the development of judicial infrastructure.
Among the major topics of discussion were establishment of District & Sessions Court at Chandel; strengthening of the use of Information and Communication Technology (lCT) initiatives, including the implementation of video conferencing facilities.
