A free medical camp was held today at Laphupat Tera under the aegis of the United Committee Manipur.
About 700 villagers belonging to Laphupat Tera and the adjoining villages attended the camp.
The camp was conducted by three doctors from the State Health Directorate besides another doctor from Sekmaijin Primary Health Centre with the assistance of 14 nurses.
During the medical camp conducted under four separate sections--gynae, skin, medicine and eyes, medicines were provided free of cost to the needy patients.
Further patients suffering from major ailments were advised to consult RIMS or JN Hospital doctors.
The medicines distributed during the camp were sponsored by Health Care for All and Rapid Intervention and Care (RIAC) project, Sekmaijin.
The medicines distributed today were worth about Rs 7000, informed the chief functionary H Premkumar.
