NIA visits terror victims' home

Moirang, April 25 2026:
A team of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) today visited the home of Oinam Mangalnganba (Mangal) at Tronglaobi, Bishnupur district whose five-year-old son and five-month-old girl were killed in a terror attack carried out by suspected Kuki narcoterrorists on April 7, 2026 .
Mangalnganba's wife, Oinam Binita too sustained critical injuries in the attack.
After the State Government handed over the case to the NIA, a team of the investigation agency carried out an investigation at Tronglaobi today.
The NIA team which arrived at Tronglaobi at around 11.50 am was accompanied by a Forensic Science Mobile Unit, Bishnupur and a number of police officers including Bishnupur SP Sh Ravi-kumar, SDPO Moirang and OC, Moirang police station.
The team first examined the house of Mangalnganba before visiting the camp of 8th Bn CRPF at P Gelmon where three civilian protesters were killed in indiscriminate firing by CRPF personnel on the day the toddlers were killed.
The team left Tronglaobi at around 3.30 pm .
It was the first time the NIA team examined the house of Mangalnganba, and a second visit to the CRPF camp.
