Senapati, August 22 2024: The Gorkha Terriers hosted Anil Kumar Khandelwal, Member, Infrastructure, Railway Board and his delegation during their visit to Tupul and Noney in Manipur today.

The visit underscored the ongoing collaboration between the Armed Forces and National Infrastructure Projects, particularly in challenging terrains.

Notably, the Gorkha Terriers have been instrumental in supporting the Jiribam-Tupul-Imphal Mega Railway Project since its inception.

This project is poised to revolutionize connectivity in the North-East.

Stationed on-site for security operations, the battalion has played a pivotal role in ensuring the project's smooth progress over the past three years.

During his visit, Khandelwal commended the unwavering commitment of the Gorkha Terriers in safeguarding the project and emphasized the battalion's critical role in maintaining peace and stability across the region.

The delegation toured both Tupul and Noney, gaining valuable insights into the operational challenges faced and the indomitable spirit of the battalion.

With the continued involvement of the Gorkha Terriers, the project is progressing securely.
