Imphal, March 21 2025: Jiribam MLA Md Ashab Uddin has refuted the claim that he supplied arms to Kukis.

Addressing the media at his official residence at Babupara today, Ashab Uddin continued the accusations made by Jiri Apunba Lup (JAL) on social media and published in some dailies on supplying arms to Kukis are completely unfounded and baseless.

Saying that he has been working for the wellbeing of all people in Jiribam, the MLA added that JAL has issued a subsequent statement, contradicting their initial claim and denying any involvement in accusing him of supplying arms to the Kukis.

He further pointed out that the statement released by JAL lacked any signature or authentication, merely attributing it to their "media cell" .

The MLA said that he has lodged a police complaint to take action against those who spread the alleged disinformation.
