Imphal, February 21:
A suspected underground activist was shot dead by Thoubal Police Commandos during an alleged encounter which took place near the gate of Universal College at Thoubal Wangkhem under Yairipok Police Station at around 6 pm today.
According to police report one hand grenade was recovered from the possession of the slain UG whose identity is yet to be established.
