Imphal, March 19 2023: Bahujana Sahitya Academy (National Committee of India) has awarded retired Headmaster Nongthombam Biramangol Singh with Karmika Ratna National Award 2023 .

The award was handed over to the Oinam Awang Leikai, Nambol resident on March 12 at Shivaiah Krishna Reddy Bhavan, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh during the 6th South India Conference.

Nalla Radha Krishna, president, Bahujana Sahitya Academy and Phanjoubam Lanajit Singh, Bahujana Sahitya Academy Manipur State president presented Nongthombam Biramangol Singh with the award.

The event was organised by Bahujana Sahitya Academy, South India Committee.

It is worth mentioning that Nongthombam Biramangol Singh was the headmaster of Leimaram Primary School and was not only involved in educating the youth but also played a big role in social activities and issues.
