3rd TNDCYO conference held

Noney, January 19 2025: The 3rd conference of Tamenglong & Noney district Catholic Youth Organisation (TNDCYO) was held today at Assumption Parish Centre, Luangchum (Awagkhul), Noney district.

The conference begun with the flag hoisting by Rev Father Angelus Zingkhai Chaplin, TNDCYO followed by traditional Ho-hoing by Men's Society, Assumption Parish, Luanghchum-1 .

The event held under the theme "Rooted in Culture, Alive in Christ" was attended by Rev Dr Lilnus Neli DD, Archbishop of Imphal, Ganreipou Albert Gangmei, IRS, Deputy Director, Ministry of Finance, Government of India, Namsadai Peter, SP Noney, Napoleon Ruangmei, MFS, DFO Kamjong & President, MCYO, as presidium members.

As part of the programme, dignitaries were felicitated by TNDCYO president.

Speaking at the occasion, Ganreipou Albert Gangmei, IRS, exhorted the youth of TNDCYO, to be positive thinkers and act as a responsible person.

He also encouraged the students and youths to manage the time properly and have a strong determination to become successful and a great leader in the near future.

The objective of the TNDCYO, as a religious organization, aims at the spiritual well-being of the young Catholics in the districts of Tamenglong and Noney.

It also visualizes to bring about holistic growth of the youths wherein every young person is able to live a worthy of their call and every youth and every youth is called to value love, peace, unity, justice, equality and be a part in building the society.

As part of the programme, various cultural dances, songs, drum beating and other entertainment programmes were showcased by different villages from Tamenglong and Noney district.

The programme will conclude on January 21 .
