In case Chief Engineer of the Minor Irrigation Department Md Shah and four executive engineers of the valley districts failed to surrender to the PULF by 4 pm of March 20, AE P Lalji currently in its custody will be awarded capital punishment at 7 pm of the same day in lieu of the Chief Engineer and the four Executive Engineers.
A statement issued by the publicity secretary of the outfit disclosed that AE Lalji was pulled up on March 13 from his Canchipur residence for the failure of the Chief Engineer to pay any heed to its appeal made 10 months back for ensuring due share and rights of the 'community'.
Stating that the outfit has no animosity with Lalji personally, it clarified that he was pulled up in place of the Chief Engineer.
PULF also accused the Chief Engineer causing injuries to two of its cadres on April 18 last year when they approached the CE regarding the party's appeal to provide due share to the party as is being provided to other parties since a long time back.
The four EEs were also responsible for the arrest of some of its cadres, it alleged.
On the other hand, the publicity secretary clarified that PULF was not connected with the killing of Maisnam Surchandra of Chingamakha.
On investigation, it has been established that the murder was committed at the behest of Azad alias Robin based at Dimapur, it disclosed.
