MIU observes National Education Week

As part of the ongoing National Education Week, a seminar was organised today at Manipur International University (MIU) on the theme, "Education: Age of AI" .
Speaking as the resource person of the seminar, Prof Th Asha Sinha, Director, Research and Development Cell, MIU, stated that with the rapid development of information and technology, it has become essential for everyone to constantly update their knowledge in order to stay relevant with the changing times.
She stressed that Artificial Intelligence (AI) has now become an integral part of human life and various professions, making it necessary for people to acquire adequate understanding and skills related to AI .
She added that proper adaptation, awareness, and preparedness are needed to cope with the fast-evolving AI-driven ecosystem.
Prof Asha also highlighted the importance of possessing the right qualities and capabilities to adapt to the changing technological landscape.
She mentioned that with the increasing influence of technology in the education system, it is important to avoid putting unnecessary pressure on students and instead provide them with the right guidance.
Prof Asha further asserted that the play-way method of learning helps children understand and enjoy their studies better and is an essential part of modem education.
Vice-Chancellor of MIU, Prof P Kumar Singh, along with teaching and non-teaching staff of the university, also attended the event held at the university's conference hall.
