Imphal, April 16:
The cyclonic storm that lashed the State in the intervening nights of April 13 and 14 has wreaked large scale damages at Kanglatongbi, blowing away a number of houses.

In a statement issued to the press, the Bazar Committee, Kanglatongbi Bazar Board said that the storm blew away at least 12 minor and major homesteads.
The destroyed structures include the bazar toilet, house of Ab Pouchamlungbou, house of widow Mrs Lungsowiliu, house of Namkenpingbou, house of Ch Kaidi, Namjibui, house of Pastor Ch Parijan, house of Ab Wiriangdinang, house of Wilungtalang, house of Namkiabou and house of Kairibam.
Listing the damages caused by the storm, the Bazar Committee has appealed to the Government to extend help to the affected people and provide relief at the earliest.
