The state unit of the Trinamool Congress opened its own office today at Ema Building at Keishampat.
The function to mark the opening of its office was attended by former minister Haokholet Thangjon as chief guest, former MP, Kim Gangte as president and Solomon as guest of honour.
Haokholet hoisted the flag of the party.
Speaking as chief guest, Haokholet claimed that in West Bengal where Congress and BJP could not break the CPI blocked, Trinamool Congress under the leadership of Mumta Benerjee had broken by defeating CPI(M) strong hole areas and brought about a change in the state.
The party that won only three seat in 2002 Parliamentary election in West Bengal has now have 19 MPs.
Mumta had brought about the change and why not in Manipur, he asked expressing confident that the party can bring a change in the state too.
Kim Gangte who has been appointed as convener of the state unit party said, like bringing changes in West Bengal, Trinamool will able to bring a change in Manipur too.
People from various circles had contacted her on hearing that Trinamool has rooted in the state.
