SFs recover large cache of arms, ammo, explosives ahead of I-Day

Imphal, August 14 2025: Security forces recovered a large cache of arms, explosives and ammunition from Churachandpur, Kangpokpi, Kakching, Thoubal, Jiribam.

Imphal East and Imphal West today.

According to a bulletin issued by the Police Control Room (PCR), five single barrel rifles, two modified mortars, one SLR magazine, one SLR live ammunition and five IEDs were recovered from Samulamlan in Churachandpur.

From Phaikot Village in Kangpokpi, five pompis one rifle, three IEDs and three radio sets were recovered.

Security forces also recovered one INS AS rifle with magazine, two single barrel bolt action rifles, one modified 9mm pistol with magazine, one hand grenade with detonators, three tear smoke shells (soft nose), sixty two live ammunition ammunition of various calibre and some protective gears from Lairokching under Arong Nongmaikhong police station in Kakching.

From Uchathol in Jiribam and Phatol in Tamenglong, two SBBL rifles, two DBBL rifles, one pump action SBBL rifle and fifty live rounds of AK ammunition were recovered.

Security forces recovered two locally made single barrel rifles, 18 live ammunition of various calibres and two magazines from Phouoibi village in Thoubal.

From Sanajembam and Khaidempalli under Lamshang police station, five pistols with five magazines, one.303 rifle, four SBBL rifles with magazines and one airgun were recovered.

Security forces also recovered three rifles, three hand grenades and five 12 bore live cartridges from Laphupokpi in Imphal East.
