Imphal, May 14 2026:
Citing the recent Myanmar based-militants' attack on Kamjong border villages, Lok Sabha MP Dr Bimol Akoijam has lashed out at the BJP-led Central Government accusing it of taking no adequate actions to curb violence and maintain law and order.
A massive attack took place on Indian villages near the Indo-Myanmar border in the Wangli, Namli, and Choro areas of the Tangkhul community, yet the Government has still failed to take adequate action, Bimol said in a post shared by the Congress' handle on Facebook.
The post of the MP briefing media at the AICC HQ, New Delhi was shared by the Indian National Congress-Manipur handle.
An excerpt of the media briefing in the post read, "A massive attack took place on Indian villages near the Indo-Myanmar border in the Wangli, Namli, and Choro areas of the Tangkhul community.
"These repeated crises aimed at creating lawlessness and destabilising Manipur, yet the Government has still failed to take adequate action.
"If we look at it simply as a case of institutional failure, we will miss the true picture of what is happening.
That has been the concern among many observers in Manipur: that certain elements within the Indian State are actively participating.
"The BJP, with its typical politics of social polarization, appears to be pursuing this alongside these inimical forces" .
