Car mishap on NH-2 injures three youths

Senapati, August 13 2024: Three youths from Senapati DHQ were injured after the car they were travelling in skidded off the Imphal-Dimapur Road (NH-2) at Motbung Bridge today.

The three youths, one male and two females, were returning from Imphal when the accident occurred near Motbung Police outpost and Forest Gate.

According to sources, the white Mahindra XUV 300 skidded off the Motbung Bridge into a deep gorge.

Soon after the car plunged into the river, locals from Motbung wasted no time and rushed in to successfully rescue the youths.

They were rushed to Letpao Clinic located in Motbung town.

After administering first aid, two were declared to be out of danger while one of the female occupants was referred to Imphal as she was still in a semi-unconscious state.

Meanwhile, the Red Cross Society Senapati provided its ambulance vehicle to transport the three injured youths to Imphal for further treatment.
