MLA inaugurates community hall

Imphal, March 13 2025: Sagolband AC MLA RK Imo Singh inaugurated a newly constructed double storey Sayang Singlup Community Hall at Sayang on Wednesday.

The inaugural function was attended by Corporators of Ward No 10 & 7, Salam Tiken Singh and RK Jiten Singh; Member Ward No 10, Devaraj Wangkhem, along with other esteemed community leaders and local residents.

According to a release issued by the office of the MLA, the inauguration marks a significant step towards improving public infrastructure, ensuring better community engagement and accessibility for local events and gatherings.

Addressing the gathering, RK Imo emphasized the importance of such facilities in fostering social and cultural development.

He announced that the construction of Sayang Pond will soon be completed with ambient lighting installed around its perimeter, and a footpath around the pond will be constructed to enhance accessibility and aesthetic appeal.

"Additionally, an artificial turf shall be installed in the recently renovated ground.

Along with a garden, an open gym and a ground beside the pond are expected to attract tourists and visitors from other localities, contributing to the beautification and recreational development of the area", he added.

The MLA also shared that several other developmental projects, including community halls, improved road connectivity among others, are in the pipeline and will be inaugurated at the earliest to enhance the overall infrastructure and well-being of the people.

Furthermore, the MLA reaffirmed his commitment to working for the holistic development of the constituency and urged the public to actively participate in maintaining these facilities.

The event concluded with community members expressing their gratitude and support for the initiatives undertaken to uplift the locality.
