Aimol Tribe Union condemns

Imphal, September 12 2024: Aimol Tribe Union, Manipur has strongly condemned the unauthorized and inappropriate use of Union's name by some people with vested interest.

In a release, Aimol Tribe Union clarified that the PR issued by some people in the name of the Union on September 11, 2024 is fake and no such PR was issued by the Union.

The Aimol Tribe Union also stated that the person RT Akhel of Tulkang village, claiming to be the self-styled president of Aimol Tribe Union is a fake president and the Aimol people have never seen heard about him except in Print Media & Press Club.

"He was a member and currently serving in Kuki Inpi Manipur during the tenure of 2017-19 as vice president external affairs and from 2023-till date as vice president Kuki Inpi Manipur", it claimed.

The Union appealed to all the CSOs of the valley areas to not be fooled by RT Akhel who is working internally for the Kuki militants.

The Union also claimed that RT Akhel has been boycotted since 2015 by the chief of all Aimol villages as he represented himself as Kuki tribe at many occasions/events of Kuki militants.

"Since May 3, RT Akhel and his family had moved out and settled at Churachandpur knowing what he did and deceived his own community", it claimed.

The Aimol Tribe Union also asserted that they take his immature & unethical behaviour which could lead to misunderstanding between different communities specially the Naga family very seriously.

"We would like to clarify to avoid further confusion that Aimol tribe is a Naga tribe since time immemorial and Naga by Blood.

History is the proof', it added.

Further, the Union said that they will no longer tolerate such unethical behaviour and will take necessary action to protect the identity & interest of Aimol tribe.
