Bike rallies held, National flag hoisted at various places

Ccr/Kjm/Spi/Thb/Tpl, August 12 2022: Joining the rest of the country, Har Ghar Tiranga campaign was carried out across the State today to commemorate 75 glorious years of India's Independence.

CHURACHANDPUR
The 1st India Reserve Battalion, HQ Veng, Churachandpur organised a bike rally today from 1 st IRB Headquarter to Khuga Dam to create awareness about the Har Ghar Tiranga (HGT) campaign.

The rally was flagged off by Commander of 1st IRB, Lunkhomang Khongsai, MPS.

About 30 bikers from the 1st IRB participated in the rally.

Moreover, DLOs and SDOs of Churachandpur also conducted the HGT campaign in their own capacities.

Flags have also been distributed to the public through concerned SDOs.

DLOs have taken up various initiatives such as painting of walls in their respective office premises on the theme of Indian independence movement and freedom struggle; pasting of HGT logo and stickers on OPD tickets and ambulances by the Medical department; painting and slogan writing competitions, prabhat pheris, quiz and singing competitions by ZEO; painting of walls in town by CEO, ADCC; illumination of Mini-Secretariat with Tricolour by MSPDCL, among others.

Meanwhile, as part of the Nasha Mukt Bharat campaign, students of various schools under ZEO Churachandpur have taken the pledge for a drug free country.

DLOs who attended the review meeting today on HGT and Independence Day celebration chaired by Deputy Commissioner Sharath Chandra Arroju at Mini-Secretariat also took the Nasha Mukt pledge.

KAMJONG
As a part of HGT campaign, the National flag was hoisted today at Border Pillar No 92 Indo-Myanmar border to celebrate 75 years of India's Independence.

Located in one of the innermost comers of the State, the said border pillar comes under Ashang Khullen village of Kasom Khullen Sub-division.

The flag was hoisted by P Duna Duo, SDO/BDO of Kasom Khullen along with his staff in the presence of the village headman and village authority.

The journey to the border pillar was carried out under the guidance of District Administration, Kamjong led by DC Rangnamei Rang Peter, IAS.

Activities taking up relating to HGT at Senapati
SENAPATI
Deputy Commissioner Senapati, Mahesh Chaudhari, IAS, has informed that almost 22,000 flags have been distributed to all Government employees and public for hoisting in Government institutions, health institutions, anganwadi centres, Government schools, banks, police posts and shopping areas.

Speaking to media persons, the DC stated that a mass rally would be conducted from TNK village gate to Mini Stadium as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

"Senapati police, Divisional Forest Office, Zonal Education Office Senapati will be organising drawing & painting competitions", he added.

He lauded the BDO and village chairmen & secretaries for making the Amrit Sarovar Mission a success by digging 17 ponds in the district which will be inaugurated by the Prime Minister of India on August 15.He also highlighted the "Selfie competition with National flag" announced by Chief Electoral officer Manipur.

Stating that the LDay will be celebrated in a grand way at Mini Stadium, the DC urged the public to come forward and participate in the celebration. THOUBAL
Zonal Education Officer Zone III Thoubal under the aegis of District Administration Thoubal today organised a debating competition at Khangabok Higher Secondary school to celebrate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

As part of the HGT campaign, ZEO Thoubal has taken up various activities including hoisting of the National flag at Government buildings/offices, distribution of flags to Self Help Group members of Thoubal Municipal Council.

The National flag was also hoisted at District Treasury Office Thoubal by Treasury Officer, M Angang Kabui.

Flag were also hoisted at District Transport Office, Yairipok Municipal Council, Office of the General Manager District Industries Center Thoubal, Office of the District Horticulture and Soil Conservation Thoubal, Office of the EE, Thoubal PHE Division and Office of the Chief Medical Officer Thoubal.

Full dress rehearsal for the I-Day celebration was also held today at Mini Secretariat Complex, Thoubal.

TENGNOUPAL
ST Morcha BJP Manipur Pradesh and BJP Tengnoupal Mandal also organised Har Ghar Tiranga campaign today to celebrate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

As part of the programme, a team led by ST Morcha BJP Manipur Pradesh vice president, J Khongsai; BJP Tengnoupal Mandal president, L Yamthang Mate distributed the National flag to the people of Moreh town.

ASSAM RIFLES
As part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) conducted various activities to celebrate 75 years of India's Independence and promote the HGT campaign.

Awareness lectures as part of HGT campaign were held at Leimaroi Christian English School, Kasom Khullen, Kamjong district by Shangshak Battalion; Modi Battalion at Nemkhochin Memorial School and Assam Rifles Public School, Pallel, Tegnoupal district; Phundrei Battalion at Phundrei village, Thoubal district; Mantripukhri Battalion at Hand of God Residential Higher Secondary School, Gwalathabi and Leishemba Maheikol School, Chingarel Tejpur, Imphal East district; Chassad Battalion at Kamjong Higher Secondary School, Kamjong; and Maram Battalion of Jwalamukhi Sector at Compassion Children Ministries Orphanage Home, Karong, Senapati District.

Maram Battalion of Jwalamukhi Sector and HQ IGAR (East) also celebrated Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav with students and teachers of Asufii Christian Institute, Mao, Senapati district today.

Loktak Battalion distributed the National flag to Tongram High School students and locals of Thanga village in Bishnupur district.

Keithelmanbi Battalion organised a mini marathon at Keithelmanbi, Imphal West district.

Somsai Battalion felicitated students who passed Class X examination from various schools of Ukhrul district today.

The battalion also imparted lectures on the National Flag Code & HGT campaign and distributed 200 flags to the students.

Khoupum Battalion also distributed posters and pamphlets at L/Khunou, Noney District.
