Team inspects flood damages

Imphal, June 11 2024:
A Ministerial team of the Central Government has inspected the sites in Imphal West which were greatly affected in the hailstorm which swept across many parts of Manipur on May 5 and the recent floods, today.
Some of the sites in Imphal West which were inspected were Sekmai Dam, Khonghampat Khu-nou, Raj Medicity, DMU campus, Nagamapal, Khwai-ramband Keithel, Waheng- bam Leikai, Keishamthong, Monsangei and Waisel Maril among others.
During the inspection, the authority of Raj Medicity submitted a report of the damage inflicted by the recent flood to the hospital to the Ministerial team.
The Minister team who took out the inspection drive included Karan Chaudhary of MNCFC, Pawan Kumar of NDMA, Rajani Taneja of MOHUA, Dr Badal Bishwakarma, Dr Deogarh and Priya Jacob.
Imphal West DC Th Kirankumar Th Kirankumar and some officials accompanied the Ministerial team during the drive.
Speaking to the media, Rajani Taneja said that they would certainly reach a conclusion to see what can be done about the damage done by the hailstorm and the flood in Manipur after the observation but they can't give any comment on the matter for the time being.
It is reported that the 14 member Ministerial team includes representatives from Agriculture sector, Water Resources, Housing, Animal Husbandry.
