Hector Tomahawk from Morris Garages lands at Imphal

Hector Tomahawk, a new electric vehicle (EV) of Morris Garages (MG), was launched today at the showroom of GMDS Motors Private Limited (MG Imphal) at Mantripukhri.
The EV was launched by singer-actor Hamom Sadananda and GMDS Motors Private Limited proprietor Ningthoujam Dhinel.
Speaking at the event, GMDS Motors Private Limited Training and Development Manager Mahesh Laishram said that the car's name was inspired by the fastest fighter jet used during World War II .
He said that the MG Hector Tomahawk is the first car in India to be developed on the Multi New Energy Vehicle (NEV) platform, known as the MG Advanced Drive Architecture Platform Technology (MG ADAPT) .

He added that the battery technology used in EVs developed under the MG ADAPT platform is known as MAGIC, which is multi-unitised structure technology.
Saying that the Hector Tomahawk EV is equipped with a 69.2 kWh battery that comes with a lifetime warranty, he added that the car can travel up to 517 km on a full charge.
He also said that the car's battery could power a house for around seven hours during power outages.
Available in both five-and seven-seater variants, the car comes in eight colours, including Khaki Green, Aurora Silver, Starry Black, Pearl White and Shadow Gold.
It also features karaoke facilities, a sunroof, a wireless charging pad and other features.
He said that the car is priced between Rs 19,49,800 and Rs 23,49,800, depending on the variant.
