The next meeting of All Political Party ILP Committee has been scheduled on September 15 and this time the Committee is expected to submit a detailed report to the State Government.
For the second time, representatives of the Joint Committee on Inner Line Permit System (JCILPS), who has been spearheading the ILP movement in Manipur, missed the joint meeting convened by the state Government to discuss on the Inner Line Permit system issue due to some unavoidable circumstances, sources informed.
But the All Political Party ILP Committee met at the Chief Minister's conference hall this afternoon without the representatives of JCILPS.
The Committee will meet the State Government for the third time on September 15, sources said, adding the Committee would be submitting its report to the Government soon.
Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh and his deputy Gaikhangam, however did not attend the meeting as they left for Raj Bhavan to meet the Governor to discuss the security situation in the troubled district of Ukhrul where NSCN-IM militants reportedly killed one Manipur Police personnel and wounded another two in two separate ambushes on Tuesday morning.
