Blood donation, health camp conducted

Imphal, February 09 2025: The United People's Front (UPF), Manipur in collaboration with Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Imphal EastandArambaiTengolUnit55 organised a Free Health Camp at Pukhao Ahallup, Imphal East districttoday.

During the camp, a medical team provided free health examinations and consultation to about 80 individuals.

Those in need were also provided with free medications, ensuring access to essential treatments.

Speaking on the occasion, UPF president Nongthombam Rupachandra said that the prolonged conflict which began on May 3, 2023, has led to the irreparable loss of many precious lives and properties, and left thousands displaced forcing them to take shelter in relief camps opened across the State.

He asserted that displaced persons have been enduring all kinds of misery in relief camps for the last 21 months after their houses were burnt down by Kuki militants.

He appealed to the Government to make necessary arrangements to resettle the IDPs at their original homes and provide adequate security to ensure their safety.

Rupachandra also conveyed his gratitude to Arambai Tengol Unit 55, CMO Imphal East, other healthcare professionals and people of the area for their support in making the health camp a success.

Nandeibam Kamal, 2i/'l of Arambai Tengol Unit 55 and Medical Officer Dr Maibam Johnson were also present at the event.

AMUCO

The 2-Day Blood Donation Camp organised by All Manipur United Clubs' Organisation (AMUCO) in connection with its 32nd Foundation Day, concluded today at RIMS, Imphal.

The camp was organised in collaboration with Imphal West District United Clubs' Organisation (IWDUCO) and Imphal East District United Clubs' Organisation (IEDUCO).

During the camp, Dr Huidrom Romen donated blood for the 52nd time, W Dina for the 30th time, Lenin Huidrom for the 21st time and W Surjamani for the 20th time.

AMUCO assistant secretary organisation Yumkhaibam Inaocha and secretary organisation Chesam Lukuma were also present at the event.
