'Anti black money day' observed at various districts

Bpr/Tml/Tbl/Kak/ Kpi/Ukl, November 08 2017: In line with the observation of anti black money day (Demonitisation anniversary) at different areas of the country , the observation was also witnessed at various districts of the State today .

In Bishnupur district, BJP Bishnupur Mandal observed the day at Yangoi Ningthou Sanglen which was attended by ex president of BJP Manipur Pradesh Th Chaoba Singh, BJP Bishnupur Mandal president Nongmaithem Raghumani Singh, BJP Manipur Pradesh State Executive Member K Krishnokumar Singh and Bishnupur Municipal Council Councillors and ward members and BJP workers of Bishnupur AC .

Speaking on the occasion, Th Chaoba stated that the day marks the anniversary of the initiative or system launched by Prime Minister Naredra Modi with the aim to improve the condition of the downtrodden and underprivileged section of the country .

The day has been observed across India as "Kala Dhan Virodhi Diwas", he asserted .

The BJP led Central Government has stood for the poor and the downtrodden in its three years rule and is still continuing to this day, he added .

The PM had announced the restriction of 500 and 1000 notes as legal tenders on the same day, one year before .

Meanwhile, BJP Oinam Mandal also observed the completion of one year, after demonetisation was announced, at Keinou community hall .

A similar observation was also witnessed at Nambol bazar organised by BJP Nambol Mandal .

Tml: The anti black money day was also observed at Tamenglong Main Bazar led by BJP Tamenglong District president, M Daniel .

Comparing the ruling of the Congress and BJP Government, Daniel asserted that the BJP Government has focused largely on the benefits of widows, disabled and the poor, for the three years duration .

Numerous schemes and programmes have been launched for their welfare .

Highlighting the achievements of the BJP led State Government, he said, the MST service which has remained defunct for a long time, has come back to life and has even reached Noney district .

Thoubal :BJP Khangabok Mandal also observed the anti black money day at Sarojini oil pump, by organising a public meeting .

BJP Khangabok Mandal general secretary organisation Ningthoujam Ramananda Singh, while speaking at the meeting, said that the day has been observed against black money and to bring change in the society which has been long corrupted by the Congress, he added .

BJP Thoubal in-charge Tejkumar, BJP Thoubal district president L Deben, Mandal members and locals of Khangabok AC attended the meeting .

Kakching : The observation of the anti black money day was also witnessed at kakching Wairi Sabal Leikai community hall .

Organised jointly by BJP Kakching Mandal and Wabagai Mandal, the observation was attended by MANIDCO and MANITRON Chairman as well as Hiyanglam AC MLA, Dr Radheshyam Yumnam as chief guest, BJP Kakching district president, Kh Raghumani Singh as president, Kakching Municipal Council Chairperson, Naorem Sanjitkumar, BJP Councillors as guests of honour among others .

Kpi : As part of the BJP's 'Kala Dhan Birodhi Niwas' (Anti black money observation) across the country and the State, BJP Sadar Hills also joined the observation at Kangpokpi DHQs to show their solidarity with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister N Biren Singh .

Vice President of BJP Manipur Pradesh (In-charge Sadar Hills) Th Basanta graced the observation as chief guest while President of BJP Sadar Hills Thangjamang Kipgen attended as functional president .

All Mandal executive members, district executive members, Mahila Morcha, Yuwa Morcha, Kisan Morcha and ST Morcha leaders and members also attended the 'sit-in-protest' held along the roadside of NH 2 near Brig M Thomas Ground, Kangpokpi DHQs .

Accusing the Congress party, Th Basanta said that during Congress regime 'Corrupted Money' has ruled the country and all development had been stagnant as the party is an expertise and skilled in generating such money .

"However, in an attempt to annihilate such Black Money our dynamic Prime Minister Narendra Modi had launched a significant policy known as 'Demonetisation' a year back on November 8", he stated .

He lauded the initiative and efforts of BJP Sadar Hills, Mahila Morcha and other party units of Kangpokpi district in strengthening the BJP party .

ADC Sadar Hills Councillor, Thangjamang Kipgen, who is also the President of BJP Sadar Hills said that in order to strengthen the party development has to start from the grassroots level with cooperation as the key .

Ukhrul: The Manipur State BJP vice president, M Ashinikumar Singh has urged the people of Ukhrul to support the Saffron party to rescue Manipur from corruption without further delay .

M Ashinikumar stated this during the observation of one year completion of anti black money day (Kala Dhan Birodhi Diwas) at Ukhrul district BJP office Hamleilkhong, Ukhrul today .

He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a great decision to check and prevent black money by declaring demonstration in the country, last year, in order to create a Nation free from corruption .

The BJP vice president further stressed on the ambitious programmes of the State, under CM N Biren Singh, to develop the hill districts, particularly Ukhrul district .

Citing the upcoming developmental works in the district, he said that Rs 15 crores for Shirui has been sanction while Rs 5 crores for developing Khangkhui cave, Rs 5 crores for Nungbi pottery development and Rs 2 crores for World War Memorial cemetery at Ukhrul .

In order to improve the financial status and investment in the State, Manipur will be hosting the North East summit during Sangai festival .

He said, "adventure sport activities" will be held at Ukhrul and at other hill districts during the festival as integrated events, in order to bridge the gap between the hills and the valley.
