In continuation of its ongoing community project, Rotary Club of Imphal organised a free health camp at the Marwari Dharmashala located at Thangal Bazar today.
About 260 persons belonging to different communities of the Bazar area like Jain Samaj, Sikh Samaj, Bengali Samaj and Agarwal Samaj were examined for diabetes and hypertension detection and blood grouping during the camp.
In all 15 doctors from the Club, RIMS and Imphal Hospital participated in the camp.
The club has conveyed its gratefulness to Wockhardt Company and Babina Diagnostic Centre, Imphal for sponsoring the diabetes detection and blood grouping kits respectively.
Organising health camps, tree plantation, computer literacy programmes, HIV awareness, Yoga training programmes, etc are some of the projects being undertaken as community project by the club annually.
