Imphal, July 07:
Taking strong exception rampant human rights violations in the State, Tangkhul Mayar Ngala Long (TMNL) has questioned why Ngazeklei Zimik s/o Rev Mingyao Zimik of Tungou village, Ukhrul district was killed in cold-blooded manner on July 2 at Langol.
Quoting reports, publicity and information secretary of TMNL Sothing Zimik contended that even if Ngazeklei belonged to NSCN (I-M) which is in ceasefire with the Government of India, he was along with his family members for medical attention and unarmed on that day when he was arrested.
No arrest memo had also been issued at the time of the arrest and he had been torture before being shot dead intentionally in violation of the universal norms of human rights.
