Ukhrul, May 07 2026:
The Tangkhul Naga Long (TNL) has asserted that there is sufficient suspicion that Indian security forces cleared the decks for aggression by sharing intel to the Myanmar-based narco-terrorists.
According to a press statement issued by the Working Committee of TNL, the cross-border attack by KNA-B and PDF at Choro, Wanglee and Namlee came just a day after Assam Rifles troops visited these border villages raising challenging question on the nexus between the KNA-B and the Indian paramilitary force.
At a time, when the border villages have been facing life-challenging threats, AR troops have also reportedly arrested a member of Naga Village Guard (NVG) stationed at Choro village, instead of giving protection and security cover to the Indian villagers, it said.
The public is also shocked beyond words to witness the Assam Rifles troops stationed at Choro-Aloyo and Bundung acting as mute spectators when the foreign militants attacked the vulnerable villages, it said.
In Choro village under Kamjong sub-division more than 15 houses were burnt down and a civilian was injured through gunshot.
Innocent villagers were also rounded up and tortured by the barbaric Kuki narcoterrorists.
The unfortunate incidents occurred just about 200 metres from the 11 Assam Rifles company stationed between Choro and Aloyo, the TNL said.
In Namlee, a woman was shot at and sustained a bullet injury on her left thigh and a house was also set on fire.
Additionally, two dwelling houses were burnt down to ashes in Wanglee, it said.
Strongly condemning and expressing immeasurable shock over today's armed foreign aggression initiated by the combined forces of KNA-B and PDF, the TNL demanded immediate intervention of New Delhi against the external aggression on Indian border villages.
The safety and security of the villagers residing along the Indo-Myanmar border has been blatantly compromised and the Centre must take immediate action and own responsibility for the strategic security failure.
The Nation with nearly a 1.5 billion strong population has been openly shamed in the eyes of the world, it added.
