Protest staged against Government's failure to fulfil JAC demands

Jiribam, July 06 2024: Denouncing the Government's failure to fulfil the demands of JAC against the brutal killing of Soibam Saratkumar Singh, a protest demonstration was staged at Chingdong Leikai Community Hall, Jiribam today.

The protestors also observed one minute silence in the honour of the departed.

The protest was held as a part of the series of agitation launched by the JAC since the demands in connection with the killing of Soibam Sarat Singh which include arrest of the culprits involved in the killing have not been materialised by the Government till date.

During the protest, slogans such as 'Arrest the culprits involved in the killing of Soibam Saratkumar Singh at the earliest', 'Annihilate narco-terrorists', 'No compromise on Manipur's integrity', 'Threats to indigenous people will be dealt sternly', etc.

Speaking in connection with the protest, Chingdong Leikai Women Organization secretary Haobam Thoibi Devi strongly condemned the Government's failure to fulfil the demands of the JAC as assured.

She urged the Government to materialise the demands soon failing which intense agitation will be staged.
