Meanwhile, the JAC formed against the merciless killing of Ibomcha warned that the intense agitation will be staged if the Government fails to fulfil the demands of the JAC within 10 days.
Speaking on the sidelines, JAC convenor Takhelmayum Tomba Meitei said that the JAC has resolved to suspend the agitation for the time being as per the assurance of the Chief Minister that the culprits behind the merciless killing will be booked and will be awarded befitting punishment.
The assurance was given during a meeting held at Chief Minister's Bungalow on July 4 .
However, the JAC will continue its stir if the demands are not materialised within 10 days.
Stating that the clarification given by a proscribed outfit in connection with the killing is unacceptable, he maintained that it is evident that Ibomcha did not die of stroke considering the marks of torture at his head, hands, legs and bruises at the lower back of his body as claimed by the said outfit.
He appealed to the said outfit to award befitting punishment to its cadre who was involved in this case to ensure justice is delivered.
