Traffic diversion for vote count notified

Imphal, June 03 2024: In connection with the counting of votes for 18th Lok Sabha elections, Traffic Police has imposed restrictions on movement of vehicles for the general public on several roads near DC Imphal West Complex Lamphel and DC Imphal East complex Porompat on June 4 .

A notice issued to this effect said the restrictions will not apply to emergency vehicles like ambulance and fire tenders.

Imphal West : All vehicles coming from Naoremthong Laishram Leirak towards DC office complex Lamphelpat will be restricted.

Vehicles going to Langol Game Villages and Uripok Kangchup road shall take the Chingangbam Leirak/Mohon Motor Workshop Leirak.

Imphal East: All vehicles coming from Porompat crossing towards DC office complex Porompat will be diverted towards JNIMS road and Ayangpalli road.

All vehicles coming from Kongpal Iranpham bridge towards DC office complex Porompat will be diverted towards Kongkham Leikai and Kshetri Leikai river bank.

All vehicles coming from AAA Train crossing towards DC office complex Porompat will be diverted towards TV tower road.

The restrictions will begin at 6 am and continue till the end of the counting, said the notification.
