Faculty Induction Programme concludes

The week-long Faculty Induction Programme for newly recruited faculties and scientists of Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal organised by the Directorate of Instruction, CAU, Imphal concluded today at the Conference Hall of College of Agriculture, Iroisemba.
The valedictory function was attended by Dr Tilak Raj Sharma, Registrar, CAU, Imphal; Prof Indira Sarangthem, Director of Instruction, CAU, Imphal; Dr LM Gamayak, Director of Research and Dr Ng Iboyaima Singh, Dean, College of Food Technology, Imphal as presidium members.
The function began with the presentation of a brief report of the week-long induction programme by Prof LK Mishra, Co-course Director.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Tilak Raj Sharma enlightened the participants on the rules and regulations that govern the University.
He also made the participants aware of their duties and responsibilities towards the University.
Prof Indira Sarangthem congratulated all the participants for completing the course successfully and advised them to keep upgrading their skills so as to enhance their teaching strategies.
She also emphasized on the importance of the blended learning platform, use of ICTs and traditional method of teaching for effective teaching.
Dr Ng Iboyaima congratulated all the participants for completing the course successfully and said that the newly recruited faculty members should apply the knowledge gained during the seven days for the welfare of the students and the University.
Dr LM Gamayak spoke on the importance of developing positive workplace culture to create an uplifting work environment.
He lauded the efforts of Prof Indira Sarangthem and her team for organising the programme for the new faculty members to help them equip with skills necessary to improve their job performance.
For impact study and feedback from the newly recruited Assistant Professors, ten modules were provided and each group of participants presented on one selected module.
After subsequent assessment and evaluation, awards were handed over by the dignitaries to the first, second, third and consolation winners.
