Medical camps held in Chandel

Chandel, September 29 2025:
As part of the ongoing Swasth Nari Sashakh Parivar Abhiyaan (SNSPA) campaign, the District Health Society, Chandel on Monday organised one-day medical camps at the Community Health Centre (CHC), Chakpikarong, and Primary Health Centre (PHC), Komlathabi.
The campaign, which began on September 17, will continue until October 2 across the district.
At the CHC Chakpikarong, over 10 stalls were set up with specialist doctors in gynaecology, orthopaedics, paediatrics, dentistry, and general medicine.
Additional facilities such as ultrasound, blood sugar, and hemoglobin testing were also provided, along with screenings for cervical and oral cancer.
More than 260 individuals registered at the CHC, where they received free medical check-ups, screenings, and medicines.
Registration under CMHT and PMJAY schemes were also carried out at the site, including ABHA health ID enrollment.
At the PHC in Komlathabi around 140 people from the area got themselves registered, and availed free treatments for gynae, orthopaedics, paediatric and general medicines, while free screenings were also conducted for cancer, blood pressure, tuberculosis and diabetes.
Launched on September 18 at the District Hospital, Chandel, the medical camp will continue until October 2, with the next camp being scheduled for October 1 at Anal Khullen village.
