Rotary installation ceremony held

Imphal, June 28 2025: The 16th installation ceremony of the Rotary Club of Polo City Imphal was held today at Hotel Imphal, North AOC .

The event was graced by Manipur Legislative Assembly Speaker Thokchom Satyabrata as the chief guest.

Rotary Club of Polo City Imphal assistant governor (Rtn) Salam Sachidanand, past presidents and members of the club attended the event.

Incoming president Dr RK Ratankumar Singh and secretary (Rtn) Indrakumar Singh were officially sworn in for the 'Rotary Year' 2025-26 along with the new board of directors.

In his address, Th Satyabrata lauded the club's remarkable achievements over the years and emphasised the value of its sustained humanitarian services in uplifting the society.

He commended the Rotary Club of Polo City Imphal for its dedication and commitment to community welfare.

Newly inducted president, Dr RK Ratankumar Singh expressed heartfelt gratitude to the outgoing team for their contributions.

Introducing the theme for the new 'Rotary Year', "Unite for Good", Dr Ratankumar called upon members to reaffirm their identity as 'people of action' .

He highlighted the year's focus on purposeful service, team work and creating a meaningful impact in the community.

As a part of the event, four Rotary vocational awards/special recognition awards with cash were also presented in appreciation of outstanding commitment, dedication and contributions in the fields of print media, electronic media, sports and education.

Sagolsem Bigyan (Poknapham) won the award in the field of print media, Priyobarta Sharma (SKTV) in electronic media, Dr Gurumayum Asharani Devi (Thangta, Huiyen Lalong) and Khwairakpam Budhinanda Singh (education under persons with differently abled category) .
