Imphal, December 27: An emergency general body meeting of All manipur Working Journalists' union (AMWJU) held at Manipur Press Club today unanimously decided against publication of any contradictory statement/ release of the banned KCP organisation till the armed group resolves its internal differences.

A release issued in connection with the said meeting highlighted that members present minutely discussed statements and diktats respectively issued by Lanheiba Meetei and KC Meetei of the KCP factions.

The meeting also called upon both the KCP groups to respect an earlier general body meeting resolution wherein the armed groups were urged to amicably settle their differences rather than resort to mud-slinging through the media taking into account interest of the general public.

AMWJU expects the KCP groups to uphold stand of the media community, added a statement.
