Imphal, July 27 2024:
Until the probe that has been initiated against authorities of the Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BOSEM) ends, no employee of the Board must be transferred to any Department, said Democratic Students' Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) .
A 3-member enquiry committee was set up by the Government on May 20, 2024 to probe irregularities in the BOSEM.
When the enquiry was ordered to complete within 20 days and submit its report, it has not been concluded even after nearly 2 months, DESAM said in a statement.
The enquiry must be completed by July 31 and those officers found guilty must be punished legally, it said.
If the inquiry is not completed by July 31, then DESAM will expose the names of the officers and their wrong deeds before the public, it added.
Meanwhile, no employee of the BOSEM must be transferred to any Department until the end of the enquiry, it added.
Notably, the enquiry committee was ordered to probe whether there have been any new recruitment/engagement of employees on regular/contractual/adhoc basis in the last one year and procedures followed in the recruitment/engagement, and other irregularities.
