Patient friendly digital steps taken up at RIMS

Imphal, June 25 2025:
RIMS, Imphal has introduced several new and convenient patient-oriented digital facilities aimed at enhancing the hospital experiences and reducing waiting times for patients.
According to a press release issued by the Media Cell of RIMS, Imphal, the facilities include:
i) Online Registration System (ORS) - Patients can now book their OPD appointments online via the Central Government's ORS portal at www.ors.gov.in.
Upon successful booking, a unique Appointment ID will be generated, which must be produced at the OPD counter to obtain the OPD sheet.
This digital step streamlines the registration process and helps avoid long queues.
ii) Scan & Share Facility-Patients can scan the QR code displayed at OPD counters using their mobile phones and wait for their token number to appear on the digital screen, eliminating the need to stand in line.
iii) ABHA ID Creation Counter- To use the Scan & Share facility, patients must have an Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) ID.
Patients can create this ID either through the official ABHA mobile application or by visiting the ABHA ID Creation Counter available at RIMS .
iv) Token Dispenser Kiosks-Token Dispenser Kiosks have been installed at the OPD premises, allowing patients to selfgenerate tokens for both OPD consultations and diagnostic investigations.
This user-friendly self-service option ensures correct entry of patient details and promotes better crowd management.
RIMS administration has encouraged all patients and visitors to make full use of these facilities for a more seamless and efficient hospital experience.
