9 MCS officers transferred in major reshuffle

Imphal, April 25 2026: The Manipur Government has transferred nine Manipur Civil Services (MCS) officers with immediate effect to streamline departments.

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms, the transfers were made in public interest and will remain in force until further notice.

Key postings:

K Bono Singh, Director, CAF & PD, is now Additional Secretary, Works and Education-S .

Anjali Chongtham, Joint Secretary, Education-S/Adult Education and Additional Director, Adult Education, is now Joint Secretary, Education-S and ASPD/SSA .

Yumnam Nelson, Joint Secretary, Land Resources and Joint Secretary to the Chief Minister, retains both posts with additional charge as Director, CAF & PD .

Joel G Haokip remains Joint Secretary to the Deputy Chief Minister's office and Joint Secretary, TA & Hills, with additional charge of RD & PR .

Soraisham David Singh, Sr AO, Education-S and ASPD/SSA, is now Sr AO, Education-S and Additional Director, Adult Education.

Bijananda Chabungbam, Joint Secretary, DP, and Secretary, MnERC, has been given additional charge as Joint Secretary, Education-S .

Linda Ningombam remains Joint Director, MA/OBC & SC, and is now Deputy Secretary, Education-S, moving from Hr & Tech Edn .

The Government stated these transfers were made in the public interest and shall remain in force until further notice.
