The 28th raising day of the proscribed KCP was celebrated at the second base camp of KCP (MC) located somewhere in the Indo-Bangla region on April 14 .
The main feature of the celebration attended by volunteers of local clubs and civil society organisations was offering of floral tributes to late Paji Ahan Mutum Ibopishak, Paji Yaima Yendrenbam Ibohanbi and other departed comrades, informed a press release issued by the outfit today.
During the celebration, the KCP comrades renewed their pledge to establish a sovereign, egalitarian country free from any kind of exploitation.
Among others, the raising day celebration was graced by the outfit's military affairs secretary and chief of military council Lanheiba Meitei.
On the occasion of its raising day, the KCP (MC) also conveyed gratitude and best wishes to all the people and comrades of the KCP and cadres of other revolutionary groups.
Speaking on the occasion, Lanheiba Meitei while pledging that the outfit would work in accordance to the wishes and sentiments of the people in future, sought pardon from the people for the mistakes and excesses if any, committed by KCP (MC) comrades in the past.
The party also resolved to fight back the intruding security forces and other anti-party elements masquerading as revolutionaries.
Stating that the outfit has also opened its fifth Lanjaba Unit to strengthen its armed wing, Lanheiba disclosed that the attack of April 15 on the transit camp of 32 AR near Minuthong was undertaken by a demo section of the unit.
Reiterating that its three comrades were murdered by the UNLF in a guileful manner at Sinamkom, Lanheiba warned that fitting actions will be initiated against all those found working for the UNLF, or connected with it.
Similar actions will also be launched against functionaries of the frontal organisations of the UNLF, he added.
