Imphal, February 22 2025: The Principal Secretary, Works has set a deadline to fully complete the construction work of Civil Secretariat by the first week of April this year.

Foundation stone for the Civil Secretariat being constructed at Mantripukhri was laid by former Chief Minister Okram Ibobi way back on October 18, 2010 .

A Cabinet meeting chaired by ex-Chief Minister N Biren on August 21, 2024 decided to complete the construction of the Civil Secretariat within three months.

On assuming the charge of Principal Secretary, Works, AK Sinha made a direct assessment of the Civil Secretariat today.

PWD Chief Engineer N Subhash, Additional Chief Engineer N Uttam, SE (Electrical) Azmida Sahani and concerned EEs, AEs and JEs accompanied the Principal Secretary (Works) during the inspection visit.

After inspecting the under-construction building, AK Sinha instructed the engineers to fully complete the construction work by the first week of April this year.
